How i can change windows server 2003 machine?

i want to transfer all configuration of existing windows server 2003 to a new machince.which is more sophisticated then prvious one we have more then 100 users and i want to transfer all that configuration to new machine including printer, isa and exchange serversHow i can change windows server 2003 machine?
Try to use a disk replicating utility to move the entire content of your existing hard drive to the new system. Than pray that Win2k3 Server will be able to reconfigure itself around the new hardware.

Another way to do it is to make a backup of all the important stuff on your server (AD, ISA, DNS and such), install a fresh version of the Win2k3 on the new machine and apply the backups to the latter in order to try to bring back the original configs of the services, but with the new hardware running.

I can think of at least 100 reasons for this not to work, but it's worth trying (for me, the second method worked twice, it saved me from reintroducing 800 users into the AD).

All the best. How i can change windows server 2003 machine?
Backup all your info, then ghost the original server data to the new one. Let windows detect the new configuration and update the drivers accordingly. Also, make sure you configure all the networking information properly. eg make sure the switches recognize the new mac address of the server.
use a drive imaging tool like nortons ghost.

copy the drive contents.

install to new pc.

all configuration comes up exact.
I would certainly recommend AGAINST using any system backup from a server that doesn't have EXACTLY the same hardware! This will result in an absolute mess! Drivers and settings and configurations will be a mess!

That being said, certainly use backups to restore data. Folders and databases and documents among others can be successfully restored. Exchange must be migrated using the Microsoft recommended procedures.

As far as all of the Printers and ISA settings, redo them. It is a good time to do some cleanup!
With Windows Server 2003, Microsoft has the right server for a world now dominated by enterprise networks and web-based server applications. A number of significant improvements make this a more reliable server than Windows 2000, and those who switched have seen notable performance gains. Server 2003 is, in fact, a very competitive solution to Unix in terms of cost, performance, and application development productivity. But getting this server up and running, either as a stand-alone or as part of a multi-site, multi-server network, is a formidable task even for the most experienced system administrators. All the nuts and bolts for installing, configuring, securing, and managing Server 2003.
